About Kumon Answer Book

Kumon Answer Book is an independent publisher of original parent walkthroughs for the Kumon math and reading programs. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Kumon Institute of Education — we are parents and educators writing the explanations we wished existed when our own children brought worksheets home.

Why this site exists

When a child gets stuck on a Kumon worksheet, most parents search for an answer book. What they actually need is the thinking behind the answer: what the level teaches, how the skill builds, and what to say at the kitchen table. That is what we publish — for all 21 math levels (6A–X) and all 26 reading levels (7A–L), each with original worked examples and parent tips, free to read.

How our walkthroughs are written

Every level page follows the same editorial method. We define what the level teaches in plain language, break the core skill into checkable sub-skills, and write original worked examples in the style of the level — showing each step a parent can talk through. Nothing is scanned, photocopied, or reproduced from Kumon materials. Our editors review every page for accuracy, clarity, and a consistent vocabulary, so a term means the same thing on Level C as it does on Level J.

Our original-content promise

Every explanation and worked example we publish is original. We do not scan, photocopy, reproduce, or distribute Kumon answer books, worksheets, or proprietary answer keys. We teach the ideas and the reasoning, not shortcuts to a finished worksheet.

Our level directory and parent guides are free, with no account needed. This site is a broad independent overview for parents — not a substitute for your instructor’s advice or an official description of any program’s curriculum. If anything here ever looks out of date, tell us and we will fix it.
